More than 120 abstracts submitted for Symposium Automatic Milking, a better understanding

The Scientific Committee of the Automatic Milking Symposium 2004 is pleased with an overwhelming response of the field on our call for papers. More than 120 abstracts were submitted. Abstracts came from more than 19 countries from all over the world. These abstracts gave the committee a large load of work and after a thorough reviewing process 38 abstracts were selected for oral presentation during the meeting in March 2004. The authors have received notification of this.
The selected abstracts represent a wide variety of subjects and research groups and it is our opinion that the presentations will be a sound basis for lively discussions during the meeting. The large amount of posters on a wide area of subjects will make sure that the open spaces and corridors of the Symposium venue contain much information and that interesting exchange of views between visitors and poster presentors are possible.
The Scientific Committee likes to thank the researchers that submitted abstracts for their efforts and is looking forward to a fruitful meeting in March 2004!
